The Eclipse writers’ residential lab took place in October and November 2003 at Nottingham Playhouse. The writers who participated were:
Following the lab, all ten writers were offered seed commissions which they delivered in September 2004 and since then five of the pieces have been pursued by the following mid-scale theatre companies: Birmingham Rep, Ipswich Wolsey, Nottingham Playhouse, Contact Theatre, Birmingham Rep and West Yorkshire Playhouse.
The writers who were offered full commissions were: Sonia Hughes, Linda Brogan, Segun Lee French, Trevor Williams and David Hermanstein. This was a fantastically positive and unexpected outcome to a very successful project.
